We manufacture wrought iron gates and can make an existing standard gate into an automatic gate.
There are four different types of electromechanical gate automation:
Underground - Corrosion resistant and reliable in damp conditions, the irreversible geared motor firmly locks the gates, unlike hydraulic pistons. Perfect for wooden or metal gates.
Work drive - Ideal for automating lightweight gates, or large, heavy gates, in residential and commercial settings. Encoder based technology enables controlled deceleration of the gates.
Articulated arm - Used on automated gates hung from brick or stone pillars. Can be used when opening onto a wall or fence. A winding arm mechanism ensures a fast opening time, which is perfect for gateways onto a main road.
Sliding - Featuring adjustable mechanical end stops and self-diagnosing safety devices, as well as a securely locked manual release mechanism in the event of a power cut. Can be used in settings where there is a large volume of traffic.
Only automatic gates can guarantee they are fully closed and locked, to prevent unwanted visitors.
When fitting gates, we always:
Manufacture to EN Standard
Risk assess the installation, fit this to the required safety measure of EN standard
Install and test (force test if required to EN standard)
Compile technical file, add in all documentation, this is a pile of things basically every part, every action, all regulations and counter measures. All CE mark documents for each item used.
When everything is done the gate can then be Certified with its CE compliance ( accredited and trained person) as a new system
The system as a whole must then be serviced and maintained to a fixed schedule
Traffic barriers are the ideal solution for control of access and egress in roads and parking areas, for both industrial and public use. Operational opening and closing speeds can be regulated, dependent on use.
The traffic barriers can be synchronised with other barriers, and contain a safety feature which ensures that all controls are invalidated if an obstruction is detected, reducing the chance of accidental operation.
Access control systems can be connected to the traffic barriers, to allow identification and memorisation of vehicles, for entry and exit purposes.
